DC3 / WHO WE ARE

The DC3 is metropolitan Detroit’s creative industries advocacy organization, providing the leadership, resources, exposure, data and analytics necessary to elevate the economic impact and output of Detroit and the metropolitan area’s creative economy. Its vision is to grow creative sector jobs in the Detroit region and to establish Detroit as a recognized global center for design, creativity and innovation. DC3 seeks to achieve this vision through its mission to cultivate creative density in Detroit’s Creative Corridor while strengthening the market for creative goods and services in Southeast Michigan.

The DC3 is unusual in that it is one of the few economic development partnerships serving the creative industries in North America co-founded and co-supported by the business community – as represented by Business Leaders for Michigan – and the academic community – as represented by the College for Creative Studies.
